Sep. 7, 2018 — Bar Harbor, Maine — The Maine Seacoast Mission has announced the appointment of Nancy Marshall, founder and CEO of Marshall Communications, to its board of directors.
Board chairperson Stacey Smith said, “The Seacoast Mission is very happy to have Nancy join the board. She brings extensive experience in marketing and communications, and this will be invaluable to our organization and the people we serve.”
Marshall, the PR Maven®, is head of one of the longest-operating PR agencies in Maine. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Augusta, the agency recently opened a satellite location in Portland.
Tapping into her more than 30+ years of marketing and PR experience, Marshall authored the book PR Works!, a real-world how-to guide to the best in traditional, guerilla, new media, and digital PR strategies. She is also a columnist for Mainebiz, a business and motivational speaker, a social media powerhouse, and the host of The PR Maven® Podcast.
A graduate of Hebron Academy, Colby College and Thomas College where she earned an MBA, Marshall is a past recipient of the Edward L. Bernays award, the highest honor bestowed by the Maine Public Relations Council on a single practitioner.
