AUGUSTA, Maine – Marshall Communications is one of the most recognized names among all advertising, branding and public relations agencies in Maine according to a survey completed this spring by research firm Critical Insights of Portland.
A 2009 Critical Insights survey also named Marshall Communications among the most recognized agencies in Maine.
Nancy Marshall, known as The PR Maven®, founded Marshall Communications in 1991 in her A-frame home on the Carrabassett River after having worked in Sugarloaf’s marketing department for seven years. Sugarloaf was her first client. The agency has since grown from a one-woman operation to a team of 11. It is one of the longest-operating marketing and PR agencies in the state.
Nancy Marshall, agency CEO, said, “I am really proud of this distinction. It is a testament to the hard work of our entire creative team, and our willingness to consistently go the extra mile for all of our clients.”
The survey included a total of 612 respondents across the state who were surveyed by phone or online in March and April.
Marshall Communications was also recently awarded the Maine Public Relations Council’s Best in Show award for a media campaign it created for Orvis’s 50/50 on the Water, an initiative to introduce more women to the sport of fly fishing.
