Nancy Marshall founded NMC in 1991, creating and implementing
strategic public relations programs, primarily for tourism and
recreation companies. The agency developed expertise in promoting
economic development and NMC has been recognized by the Society
of American Travel Writers for its tourism public relations
campaigns, and the Maine Public Relations Council has awarded
NMC with its "Best in Show" for three consecutive years in its
Golden Arrow Awards.
What She Does
Nancy leads the entire team and the development and implementation
of strategies at NMC. She plays an active role as a consultant
(and friend) to all clients, and directs the marketing and strategic
positioning of the agency. She gives speaking engagements and
spends time staying up to date on new trends and best practices
in the industry. Clients and the media say it's her enthusiasm
and passion that make her stand out from other marketing professionals.
Favorite Thing About Marshall Communications

Previous Experience
Worked in public relations for PBS television station and for
Sugarloaf/USA before venturing out on her own to establish NMC.
Career Highlights
In 1983 she won a national PBS public relations award for a
press kit created for "HouseWarming with Charlie Wing," a series
produced by Angus S. King, Jr. at WCBB-TV in Lewiston, Maine.
In 1993 was awarded the first Marketing Services Contract issued
by the Maine Office of Tourism. Contract renewed in 1996, when
her agency also won the contract for the Office of Business
Development. NMC has won top awards from the Society of American
Travel Writers and the Maine Public Relations Council ("Best
of Show" for three consecutive years).

What He Does
Manages Internet operations for all agency accounts. Eric oversees
the entire website design and development process and manages
Internet marketing activities. His main purpose is to maximize
the potential of each account's website.

Previous Experience
Eric has 18 years of software development experience, 15 years
of experience in the Web development field, and 10 years of
experience in the Internet marketing field. For the last 10
years Eric worked at a Chicago based Web Development firm as
an Internet Project Manager. He's comfortable being face to
face with a small business owner or sitting at a corporate conference
table.
Career Highlights
Hired as a webmaster for a Portland company in the pioneer days
of the Internet. Served on an all-star software development
team that created an online seafood exchange in 1999. Worked
for the US Marines and Department of Defense to create a personnel
management system used by top military officials.

She has over ten years of paid and volunteer communications
experience with various nonprofit and educational institutions.
Most recently she worked as a project coordinator at the Kennebec
Land Trust on organizational newsletters and conservation property
brochures. Prior to that she served as the external affairs
associate for Teach For America's Miami-Dade program and focused
on education policy research and development activities. She
also worked as a communications coordinator, focusing on outreach
to the policymakers, media, and leaders in the business and
environmental communities on numerous environmental policy issues
for Resources for the Future, a think tank in Washington, DC.

Earned her Bachelor of Arts in Geography from The George Washington
University and a Master of Arts in Public Relations from the
University of Miami's School of Communication.

Worked with a talented team to implement the Policy Leadership
Forum, 50th anniversary events, and strategically distribute
numerous reports on policy topics such as Superfund, food safety,
energy, forest, fisheries and antibiotic resistance for Resources

Provides administrative support to NMC's account executives.
Rose also handles the day-to-day operations at the Augusta office,

Previous Experience
Worked previously as an Administrative Assistant for 11½ years
at the Winthrop Public School system in the offices of adult
education and special education.
Education
Graduated with honors with an associate's degree in business
administration from Central Maine Technical College in Auburn.
Career Highlight
While working for the Winthrop school system, I advanced several
times. I worked for adult education in several capacities from
part-time secretary to administrative secretary, to alternate
GED examiner. For the past 2 ½ years, I was an Administrative
Assistant in the office of special education.

Developed and implemented a redesign of the entire Saunders
Packaging Line as part of a brand strategy to create a visually

Juli oversees the day-to-day operations of the Augusta office,

Juli has been a practice manager and consultant for holistic
medical practices for the past 12 years. She has also worked
at TD Bank and as a restaurant manager
in Maine's tourism industry. She also has experience managing
marketing events across the country for Pinnacle Marketing.
Education
Graduated with high honors with a Bachelor's Degree in Performing
Arts from the University of Maine at Orono.
Career Highlights
While working in the Chiropractic field, she developed the Mentoring
Program for the Maine Chiropractic Assistant's Association and
gave numerous seminars regarding practice management and insurance
billing techniques. She also spent several years traveling around
the country with Pinnacle Marketing as a host for automotive

Previous Experience
Prior to joining NMC, Greg worked as the Vice President of Communications
for the American Hockey League's Portland Pirates, a minor league
hockey team in Portland, Maine. He managed all public relations
and communications strategies for the team. In addition, he
served as the play-by-play voice for the Pirates, broadcasting
over 400 games during his five seasons with the team.
Education
Graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2004 with a Bachelor's
Degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Marketing.
Career Highlights
The opportunity to work with the coaches, players and staff
involved in the world of professional hockey. Broadcasting Game
7 of the 2006 Eastern Conference Final between the Portland

served as account executive at a public relations firm specializing
in the retail and hospitality industries.
Education
Attended the University of Delaware and graduated in 1994 with
a B.A. in English/Journalism and Communication/Public Relations.
Completed additional coursework in British and American Literature
in 2003.

Worked with Connie Chung on a segment about selective mutism
for ABC's "20/20," garnered coverage for the State of Delaware's
