Maine Office of Tourism
NMC has held the Marketing Services Contract for the Maine Office of Tourism since 1993. We create and implement annual strategic marketing communications programs for the Office of Tourism which complement the advertising, research and Internet programs that are carried out by other subcontractors.
Our primary goal for the Office
is to reach out to the travel media in order
to garner 'unpaid' media coverage for Maine's tourism industry.
We work closely with the industry and with the travel media
to generate coverage. We send out monthly calendars of events,
maintain the photo library, send out news releases on what's
new in Maine, organize itineraries for travel journalists, and
assist the Office of Tourism staff with everything from motor
coach travel to special events and promotions. |

Saddleback Mountain
Saddleback Mountain is Maine's up and coming destination resort. It's a sleeping giant that's growing under the nurturing care of new ownership and management — an environmentally-focused family vigilant about preserving the area's unique rustic natural beauty while carefully crafting a 4-season resort and a first class ski and snowboarding mountain. Many improvements have already been made including a 46% increase in ski terrain, two new lifts and stunning base lodge - with more lifts and 30 trails to come. It's an honest alternative to today's large resorts.
NMC is working on media
relations initiatives with Saddleback. |

New England Outdoor Center
New England Outdoor Center (NEOC) is a four-season resort located near Baxter State Park in northern Maine. Founders Matt and Wendy Polstein created the resort in 1982 and today the resort has a full range of activities and lodging options for individuals, families and organizations. Spanning three locations in western and northern Maine, NEOC boasts views of Mt. Katahdin and tailors experiences to suit adventure seekers looking for whitewater rafting, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and more.
Known for environmental stewardship, NEOC continues to distinguish itself as a leader in green lodging. In 2009, the resort added to their lodging accommodations by opening their Coveside guesthouses in Millinocket. Since building the guesthouses and with many other environmentally friendly features at the resort, NEOC has received certification through the state's Environmental Leader program. While Matt and Wendy continue to grow the resort and build houses, at NMC we’re thrilled to grab our tool box to build their new website. Our team has created a Web strategy and is in the process of building the site that will feature search engine optimization and easier navigation. NMC will also be a part of the NEOC’s ongoing Internet marketing efforts that will include constant keyword research, cost per click advertising and an e-newsletter. |
