NMC has held the Marketing Services Contract for the Maine Office of Tourism since 1993. We create and implement annual strategic marketing communications programs for the Office of Tourism which complement the advertising, research and Internet programs that are carried out by other subcontractors. Our primary goal for the Office is to reach out to the travel media in order to garner 'unpaid' media coverage for Maine's tourism industry. We work closely with the industry and with the travel media to generate coverage. We send out monthly calendars of events, maintain the photo library, send out news releases on what's new in Maine, organize itineraries for travel journalists, and assist the Office of Tourism staff with everything from motor coach travel to special events and promotions.

NMC has held the Marketing Services Contract for the Maine Office of Business Development since 1996. We work closely with the Office to provide an ongoing stream of news releases to the media on the activities of the Office. We also organize news conferences for the Governor and Commissioner, particularly regarding the Pine Tree Economic Development Zones program. We maintain the photo library and publish the quarterly Connections newsletter.

Maine Built Boats, Inc., (MBB) is a non-profit organization established in 2005 to strengthen and expand Maine's boat building industry. In 2007, MBB hired Nancy Marshall Communications to help promote the unified brand that positions Maine as a world-wide leader in boat building and marine composite technology. NMC is implementing a strategic marketing and communications program to broaden MBB's visibility in national and international markets and to help tell the stories behind the brand.

In 2002, this Central Maine business park hired us to create a strategic marketing plan which we have been implementing ever since. We created their Web site (madisonbusinessgateway.com ) and an ongoing communications program for the media and the public. We have organized several media events, culminating in the June 2006 Groundbreaking for Backyard Farms, LLC, the largest commercial greenhouse in New England. Backyard Farms executives learned of Madison as a result of the marketing efforts of NMC.

NMC created one of its strategic marketing communications plans for this custom home building company located in Freeport, Maine. We call it the 'Marshall Plan,' and it provides the client with a detailed road map to achieve its marketing goals. We created a newsletter for Houses and Barns by John Libby which won 'Best of Show' in the Maine Public Relations Council Golden Arrow Awards. We are now working on media relations initiatives as well as creating all new sales materials to help this company grow its client base within its very high-end targeted market.

This quintessential Maine summer camp for boys celebrated their 100th anniversary season in the summer of 2007. The Ordway family hired NMC in 2006 in order to assist them in marking this anniversary with some high-profile media coverage.

Based in Biddeford, Maine, the company is a leader in the industry and is a socially and environmentally responsible manufacturer. CBP hired Nancy Marshall Communications (NMC) in Summer of 2007 to raise its profile in the U.S., Europe and Asia to support existing marketing efforts and help it compete in the global marketplace.
